A wave of grief has spread across social media following reports that a 26-year-old Ghanaian lawyer, Sara Araba Tettey, passed away after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest while celebrating Ghana’s victory over Panama at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to reports, Sara, a recent law graduate and legal practitioner, collapsed during celebrations shortly after the Black Stars secured a late victory over Panama on Wednesday. She was reportedly rushed to a hospital near the KNUST area, where efforts were made to revive her, but she was later pronounced dead.
News of her passing quickly gained attention online, with many Ghanaians expressing shock and sadness over the incident. Social media users also began sharing what was described as her final post on X, causing her last tweet to trend as tributes poured in from friends, colleagues, and football fans.
