Meet Dayo Abiola Wuraola, a young woman from Eruku who tragically lost her life just days after sharing her thoughts on Facebook. In her last post on November 2, she wrote that there was no genocide against Christians in Nigeria. She also said she was a Christian and expressed strong support for the Tinubu-led government, calling it the best so far. Her post showed that she believed the country was safe and that people should not spread fear.
Sadly, about two weeks after that post, a terrible incident happened. Armed bandits attacked her church during a live Sunday service. The peaceful worship turned into chaos as the attackers stormed the building. Dayo was among those who were killed in the attack, while many others were taken away and kidnapped. The community was left in shock, and her death became even more painful because of what she had posted earlier.
Her story has drawn attention across social media. Many people are discussing the reality of insecurity in Nigeria and how quickly life can change. Dayo’s life and death remind everyone that safety is still a serious issue, and communities must continue to seek peace, protection, and justice for victims.
