Students from the Department of Animal Science, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, once again made the institution proud by showcasing their intellectual prowess at the Animal Science Students Association of Nigeria (ASSAN) Annual National Quiz Competition, Eclat Media Reports.
The event took place on October 13, 2025, at the University of Ibadan, attracting brilliant minds from top universities across the country.Representing LAUTECH were two outstanding students — Adisa Abraham Akolade (500 Level, Animal Production and Health) and Daud Faizat Motunrayo (500 Level, Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology). Competing against the best Animal Science students from various Nigerian universities, the duo demonstrated exceptional academic knowledge, teamwork, and confidence, ultimately earning the 3rd runner-up position in the keenly contested competition.
The ASSAN National Quiz Competition is an annual gathering that promotes academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration among Animal Science students nationwide. It provides a platform for participants to engage in rigorous intellectual exercises covering key areas such as animal breeding, nutrition, physiology, health, and production management.
This year’s edition was proudly sponsored by Senator Kaka, who continues to support educational initiatives that empower young scholars and promote agricultural advancement in Nigeria.
