Tension has gripped students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Iseyin Campus following another violent robbery attack in the Ilabe area, a popular student community.
According to eyewitness reports, a female student was brutally attacked with a cutlass during a robbery incident late last night. The victim sustained a deep head injury, leaving her in critical condition.
This is not the first time such an incident has occurred in the area, as students have continued to report multiple cases of robbery and assault in recent weeks.
Students are now calling on the authorities and security agencies to intervene urgently, as many say they no longer feel safe around Iseyin.
“We don’t know what’s going on anymore. Iseyin isn’t safe,” one student lamented.
