A tragic accident occurred at New Waso Market area, close to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, on Wednesday.
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident reportedly happened when students allegedly engaged in car racing lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and crash into roadside shops.
According to witnesses, a mechanic and a man who had brought his motorcycle for repairs died instantly at the scene.
Several other persons sustained injuries and were rushed to the teaching hospital for medical attention.Authorities are yet to officially confirm the exact number of casualties and the circumstances surrounding the incident as investigations continue.
