Celebrity chef Hilda Baci, with the help of her mother, has kicked off her Guinness World Record attempt to cook the world’s largest pot of jollof rice.
What to expect from Hilda Baci’s world’s largest pot of jollof rice using a specially constructed 22,619-litre pot, roughly 6 meters in diameter, designed to hold enough food to feed about 10,000 people.
The event, held in Lagos, combines culinary spectacle with community service. Hilda plans to use 250 bags of rice in the massive pot, which she hopes to fill to about 80%.
The effort isn’t just for breaking records; the cooked food will be shared with attendees and donated to charitable causes.
