Professor Olayinka Samuel Olabode of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH Ogbomoso Oyo state is dead.
Prof Olabode of the Faculty of Agriculture where he taught Soil Science and Crop Protection died Wednesday morning during a brief at a hospital in Ogbomoso.
He was 66 years old.The renowned scholar, born December 23, 1959, attended Ogbomoso High School, University of Benin among other institutions. He published many papers in several local and international journals and attended many conferences both locally and internationally.
He was survived by wife and children. His wife Mrs Bose Olabode, a former Zonal Inspector of Education in Ogbomoso zone is currently at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology’s headquarters in Ibadan.
The family is yet to announce the burial programme.
